Estate Gardener, Windsor Park Surrey, £35k to £37k GPA

Experienced gardener sought to join a skilled, committed grounds team working to exceptional standards. Much of the work is in a formal garden, so hands-on experience with topiary, rose gardens and herbaceous borders is essential. Experience of caring for newly developed landscapes would be a real advantage, as parts of the estate are still settling in.
This role suits a methodical, practical gardener who takes pride in precise, detailed work and is equally comfortable working independently or as part of a close team.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of grounds and garden maintenance across the estate, with a focus on formal areas

• Operating ride-on mowers, strimmers, blowers and hedge cutters

• Care and upkeep of hand tools and machinery

• Managing and making effective use of irrigation systems

• Liaising with estate management and external contractors as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience with topiary, rose gardens and herbaceous borders

• Formal horticultural qualification

• PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates

• Full, clean UK driving licence

• Broad knowledge of estate gardening, including irrigation systems

• Well organised, with a practical and methodical approach

• A good communicator with a positive attitude

• Experience with newly developed landscapes (desirable)

Salary: £35k – £37k GPA DOE, with a discretionary annual bonus after successful completion of probation
Hours: Full-time, 8am to 4pm, five consecutive days per week on a rota that may include weekends
Annual Leave: 28 days' annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, rising by one day for each full year of service to a maximum of 33
