Mum and dad both work so this role requires someone who can take the lead of all school correspondence, organising play dates, homework etc. You will look after the 2yo, including pick up and drop offs from nursery round the corner, and prepare a healthy snack, child appropriate activities, promoting his fine motor skills, reading to him, taking him to the park and helping with his preparation for school (with educational games etc). You will also be responsible for the afternoon school pick ups for the 7yo girl, ensuring she does her homework and reading, liasing with after school tutors and teachers re any schedule changes etc. We are looking for someone who is really ok the ball and can multitask, who enjoys a fast paced, busy household. The children are bright and curious, and the client is looking for someone who will take responsibility for their academic progress and educational enrichment.
There are other staff in the household who make dinner and do the housework but you will still be responsible for typical nursery duties, so teamwork is important. We are looking for someone who gets along well with others and will become part of a strong team unit.
A driver is essential for this role for school pickup and drop offs which is a short 5-10 min drive away.
The family travel all school holidays so while away the role will be a typical live in rota and you will be away half of those with the family. The rota may be 2-3 weeks on/off on longer school holidays (eg summer).
