Head Gardener, Countryside Estate, Surrey, £45,000 - £55,000 GPA DOE

Our UHNW client is seeking an experienced Head Gardener to take charge of the grounds at their beautiful estate in Surrey. This is a wonderful opportunity for a horticulturalist with real depth of knowledge to shape and maintain gardens to the highest standard, working both as part of a wider team and independently when the role demands it.

Requirements

•     Degree in horticulture or a related field is preferred

•     Strong, demonstrable horticultural knowledge, including planting schedules, watering regimes, soil management, and selecting the right materials and products for the job

•     Solid hands on experience gained in a similar high standard environment

•     Comfortable working both collaboratively within a team and independently

•     A proactive, detail oriented approach to grounds maintenance

Responsibilities

•     Planning and managing planting schedules across the estate

•     Maintaining soil health and ensuring appropriate watering and feeding regimes

•     Selecting suitable materials, plants, and products to maintain the gardens to a high standard

•     Working closely with the wider household and grounds team, while managing your own areas of responsibility independently

•     General upkeep and seasonal maintenance of the gardens and grounds

Schedule: Monday -Friday, 8 hours per day 

Salary: £45k- £55k GPA plus depending on experience
