House Manager, Prestigious Private Residence, Ascot, £70k –£85k GPA
We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced House Manager to join a prestigious private residence in Ascot. Reporting directly to the Principal, this is a predominantly operations-focused role, ideally suited to a confident and experienced manager who enjoys leading teams, maintaining exceptional standards, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a large estate.
The successful candidate will be a natural leader, capable of overseeing an established household team and ensuring every department operates seamlessly. You will be responsible for monitoring department heads, maintaining impeccable standards across housekeeping, food and beverage, the kitchen and the wider estate, and ensuring the property is always presented to an exceptional standard. A proactive approach is essential, with the ability to identify and resolve any operational issues before they arise.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, solutions-driven and able to confidently oversee multiple departments while delivering exceptional service at all times.
We are keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience managing a prestigious private residence, palace or luxury estate, or those with a strong operational background within a luxury boutique or five-star hotel. Former Chief Stewards or Chief Stewardesses from the yachting industry w will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence, reporting directly to the Principal.
• Lead, support and monitor departmental managers and the wider household team.
• Ensure the highest standards are maintained across housekeeping, food and beverage, kitchen operations and the presentation of the estate.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure every area is maintained to an exceptional standard.
• Ensure all departments are fully staffed and operating efficiently.
• Proactively identify and resolve any operational issues to ensure the household runs smoothly at all times.
• Maintain clear communication between departments to deliver a seamless service.

They will remain calm under pressure, take pride in maintaining outstanding standards, and have a genuine passion for delivering first-class service.
Salary: £70k – £85k GPA (with flexibility for an exceptional candidate)
Accommodation: Live-in or live-out considered.
Start: ASAP preferred, although candidates with up to a six-week notice period will be considered.
