Finance Manager, Private Family Office, London W11, £70-£80k gpa
Holland Park | Monday – Friday, 9:30–5:30 | Hybrid (min. 3 days in office)
A well-established private family office is looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of financial operations across a diverse portfolio of entities, including a grant-making charitable company distributing £20–25 million annually and a start-up fashion business.
This is a hands-on role spanning bookkeeping, management accounts, payroll, tax compliance and audit preparation. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating across the full finance function, from day-to-day transaction processing through to supporting external advisers at year end, and will report to the Chief of Staff and Principals.
Key responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping across all entities
Prepare management accounts and internal financial reports for the Principals
Manage banking relationships, cash flow monitoring and payment processing
Prepare and submit VAT returns and manage PAYE and payroll
Administer workplace pension schemes
Oversee tax compliance and coordinate the annual audit process, liaising with external advisers
Support financial controller responsibilities across the associated companies
Requirements
The successful candidate will hold a recognised accounting qualification and have relevant post-qualification experience, ideally gained in practice with some exposure to private clients or family offices. You will be a self-starter who is equally comfortable with detailed bookkeeping and with preparing entities for audit. Family office experience is not required but would be an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities are all essential. You will be joining a small, professional team and need to work collaboratively as well as independently.
Compensation and benefits
Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 gpa
