Chief of Staff, Private Family Office, London W11, £100- £125k gpa

Office-based, Holland Park, Monday – Friday, 9:30–5:30
A rare opportunity to join a well-established private family office as Chief of Staff, leading a team across the UK and internationally and acting as the trusted operational right hand to the Principals.
This is a broad, senior role combining people leadership, HR, property management, compliance, and personal assistance to a Principal. With a team of around 30 staff across the UK and internationally, the Chief of Staff will be the central figure holding a complex, multi-jurisdictional operation together.
The family office also supports two charitable foundations and a commercial venture, and the Chief of Staff will have involvement in these entities as well as linking into to larger global network of family advisors and entities.
Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the family office team and household staff across multiple properties and geographies

  • Own all HR and recruitment activity end-to-end, from hiring and onboarding through to offboarding and ongoing staff management

  • Project-manage key transactions and initiatives including property acquisitions, disposals and restructurings, acting as the central liaison with legal, tax and other professional advisers

  • Maintain comprehensive records, document management systems, inventories and archives

  • Oversee security and cybersecurity in partnership with third-party providers

  • Manage due diligence and KYC responses and maintain ongoing compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements

  • Manage diary and scheduling for one of the Principals, supported by a junior PA within the family office team

Requirements
The successful candidate is likely to have come through a senior EA, PA or chief of staff route and will have developed genuine management experience over time. Above all, they will be organised, discreet, loyal and capable of operating with authority across a wide range of responsibilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities are essential.
Compensation and benefits

  • Salary: £100,000 – £125,000

  • Employer pension contribution: 7%

  • Private medical insurance (BUPA)

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas closure

  • Discretionary annual bonus
