Private Chef, Kensington, £95-100k GPA

A young, informal UHNW family in Kensington is looking for an outstanding Private Chef to join their household. The kitchen is a separate commercial space at the residence, and the role offers real creative freedom. The family loves good food and is open to ideas, from relaxed sharing dishes at the family table to fine dining when they entertain.

You will work as part of a two-chef team on complementary schedules with some crossover, so this suits someone who enjoys collaborating and values a smooth handover. The family has young children and dogs, and the atmosphere is warm and lively rather than formal.

The Role

You will prepare breakfast, light lunches as required and dinner, with seasonal, healthy and flavourful menus put together for the family's approval and adapted for both adults and children. When the family hosts guests or events, you will have the chance to showcase your fine-dining skills. You will also manage food purchasing, kitchen stock and the fridge and pantry, and keep the kitchen immaculate.

The role runs Tuesday to Saturday on either an early shift (7am to 3pm) or a later shift (12pm to 8pm). You will occasionally cover a full day when the other chef is off, and some flexibility is needed around the family's plans and entertaining.

The Candidate

  • Michelin or fine-dining restaurant background, alongside substantial private household experience

  • At least three years in a comparable private Chef role

  • An exceptional standard of cooking, with a focus on healthy, creative food

  • Experience cooking for young families and adapting menus accordingly

  • Personable and accommodating, with complete professionalism and discretion

  • Organised, proactive and efficient

  • Comfortable working around dogs

  • Right to work in the UK

Location: Kensington, London
Contract: Permanent
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 8-hour shifts
Salary: £95-100k GPA
