Experienced in managing contractors and service providers

Calm, discreet, and professional, comfortable working within a private household environment

Holds a valid driving licence

We’re looking for a dedicated live-in housekeeper to care for a beautiful, spacious country cottage in Chippenham, Cambridge. Set within generous grounds with a tennis court and plenty of outdoor space, this second home needs someone proactive to keep it spotless, organised, and well-stocked, ready for the family’s visits. This role is ideal for an experienced housekeeper who is self-motivated, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining a pristine home. You’ll be confident preparing simple, healthy family-style meals when the family is in residence, and keeping the home clean, organised, and well cared for when they are away. The housekeeper should be pet-friendly (the family has a lovely dog) and confident driving a car; a vehicle is provided onsite.

Key Duties:

• Daily cleaning to an exceptional standard

• Prepare the home ahead of the family’s arrival and keep it organised

• Manage laundry, ironing, and care of linens

• Run errands and grocery shopping

• Drive the property car regularly

• Coordinate contractors and service providers

• Weekend support is needed when the family is in residence

• Pet care

This is a long-term, full-time position with a kind, generous, and supportive family, and comes with separate accommodation and employee benefits, including private healthcare.

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with flexibility required and some weekend working when the family is in residence
