Laundress, Victoria, Central London, £50k – £55k GPA

Wonderful opportunity for an experienced Laundress to join a lovely team in a beautiful private home near Victoria. Working for a couple, you will take ownership of the household's laundry and wardrobe care, from everyday washing through to the careful pressing of fine and delicate garments. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, but standards are exacting, so a genuine passion for fabric care and an eye for the smallest details is essential.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all daily laundry, including washing, drying, pressing and folding

  • Ironing and pressing garments to an immaculate finish

  • Handling delicate materials with precision and care

  • Organising the wardrobes and ensuring clothing is correctly maintained and stored

  • Supporting the wider housekeeping team during busier periods

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Extensive knowledge of fabrics and garment care

  • Excellent pressing and ironing skills

  • Flexibility to work one weekend per month on a planned rota

  • Reliable, punctual and highly organised

  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a team

  • Happy to assist with wider household duties when required

 

Days: Monday to Friday, plus one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month on a planned rota

Hours: 45 hours per week, 8am to 5pm

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 GPA

Start: ASAP, or can wait up to one month's notice
