Housekeeper, Virginia Water – £33k - £35k GPA

An excellent opportunity to join a beautifully maintained private estate near Virginia Water, Surrey. The estate is meticulously maintained year-round, with a busier, more dynamic atmosphere typically during the summer months when the family is in residence. Run to luxury boutique hotel standards, the household is supported by an experienced housekeeping team, delivering a 6* service across the estate and outbuildings under the direction of the Head Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

Carry out daily cleaning and upkeep to an exceptional standard

Work as part of a housekeeping team, supporting the Head Housekeeper in maintaining 5* standards across the estate and outbuildings

Maintain front and back of house, including soft furnishings and service items

Assist with laundry, valet work, and general housekeeping duties

Manage linens, supplies, and housekeeping stock levels

Keep storage areas and outbuildings clean and organised

Support contractor oversight and wider estate operations when required

Report maintenance issues promptly and accurately

Requirements

2+ years’ experience in a 5* hotel or private household setting

Strong team player

Driver preferred, based within 40 minutes commute

Flexible during peak residence periods

Hours

When the client is not in residence (September–May), hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm. During residence periods (typically June–August), shifts rotate between 9am–5pm and 12pm–8pm, with overtime required.

Salary

£33,000 – £35,000 gross per annum + discretionary annual bonus
