Head Housekeeper – Prestigious Countryside Estate, South Coast of England

Up to £60,000 GPA + Accommodation

Silver & Bow are seeking an experienced Head Housekeeper for an UHNW countryside estate in a well-connected rural location in the South of England.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of housekeeping operations a high-standard private residence, leading an established housekeeping team within a structured and discreet household environment. The successful candidate will bring calm authority, exceptional attention to detail, and a natural ability to uphold the highest levels of presentation and service at all times. While the role is leadership-focused, a hands-on approach is essential.

With fine art, antiques, luxury interiors, and high-value wardrobes throughout, outstanding knowledge of specialist fabrics, surfaces, and household care standards is required. The home operates to a luxury hotel standard with clear structure and high expectations.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Lead and develop the housekeeping team, ensuring consistently impeccable standards

* Oversee rotas, training, scheduling, and team coordination

* Maintain the presentation of the residence to an exceptional standard at all times

* Manage laundry, wardrobe care, stock control, and household procurement

* Liaise with the House Manager/EA and wider estate team including chefs, drivers, security, and PAs

* Oversee external contractors and ensure all works are completed to specification

* Ensure seamless day-to-day running of the household in line with UHNW expectations

Requirements:

* Proven experience in a senior or Head Housekeeper role within a UHNW household, luxury private estate or hotel setting

* Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team

* Naturally hands-on, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach

* Exceptionally organised, discreet, and detail-driven

* Confident working within a structured, high-expectation environment

* Full UK driving licence essential

Live-in or live-out considered, with separate accommodation provided on the estate (no pets).

Days/Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week including weekends, with days off taken during the week. There is a possibility for approximately 1 weekend off per month.

Salary: £50,000–£60,000 GPA
