House Manager, Chelsea, 2-bed flat provided, circa £70k gpa depending on experience

Accommodation: Separate 2-bedroom flat in Chelsea (must be main residence, partner/children/well-behaved pets welcome)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm (flexibility required)

A fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, grounded House Manager to join a warm, down-to-earth private household in Chelsea. This is a role for someone who genuinely loves rolling their sleeves up, someone equally comfortable making a house immaculate as they are troubleshooting the lighting system or resetting the AV.

The Role:

• Active, day-to-day involvement in the running of a beautiful Chelsea residence, this is not a desk job

• Overseeing housekeeping to a high standard, including pitching in directly when needed

• Ensuring the home is always guest-ready: presentation, stocking, fresh flowers, everything in its place

• Welcoming guests, managing arrivals and departures, and sending straightforward post-visit reports

• Working alongside a small team and coordinating on-site trades and suppliers

• Daily checks of the plant room, smart home systems (lighting, AV, climate control), flagging and following up on any issues

• Being a confident first point of contact for the smart home tech, comfortable using control panels, apps and basic troubleshooting, with support available for anything more complex

• Liaising closely with the EA/line manager with clear, regular updates

Candidate Profile:

• Happy to be hands-on, no task is beneath you

• Some familiarity with smart home systems (Crestron, Lutron, Control4 or similar) is a real advantage; a genuine willingness to get up to speed is essential

• Warm, professional manner with guests and household staff

• Highly organised, consistent and quietly dependable

• A natural problem-solver who takes ownership and doesn't wait to be asked

• Previous experience in a private household, high-end hospitality or estate management welcome, but attitude and work ethic matter more than a long CV

Salary and package:

• Circa £70k gpa depending on experience

• Excellent 2 bed, live-in accommodation in one of London's best locations

• Exceptionally kind, down-to-earth principals who genuinely care about the people who work for them

• A warm, stable household where good work is noticed and appreciated

• Real long-term potential for the right person

• Outstanding benefits: 10% pension contribution, private medical & dental, life and critical illness insurance
