Assistant/Caretaker, Palm Beach, Florida. Salary on application.

We’re looking for a kind, capable Assistant who can grow into a caretaker-style role over time, supporting a wonderful, mature lady in her 70s. She’s very active and independent, so this role is all about enhancing her day-to-day. You’ll start in a PA-style capacity and gradually evolve into a PA/Caretaker role.

Day to day, you’ll accompany her to events, organise her schedule, book appointments and be a calm, trusted companion. You’ll also help with practical tasks like grocery shopping and running errands, keeping daily life running smoothly, while staying attentive to her wellbeing and be able to notice and flag any health or medical concerns promptly.

She’ll soon be moving into a large new home, so support during this transition will be key. The household already has a House Manager, housekeepers, and drivers, so you’ll be joining a smooth-running setup.

The role would suit someone with experience as a PA, a family assistant, companion or someone with a medical background. We’re looking for someone hardworking, proactive, and emotionally intelligent, with strong English. The ideal candidate is comfortable being hands-on, taking initiative, and finds genuine fulfilment in this type of supportive role.

The role could be Live in or Live out. Accommodation is provided as a lovely private bedroom and bathroom within the main property.

Cooking would be an added bonus.

Some travel required.

You must be a driver.

Days/hours: Monday to Friday, 9–5, with flexibility. Weekend and later shifts required when guests are in town.

Salary: Highly competitive salary, with scope to improve on prior earnings.
