Milan – House Manager & Property Projects €100,000–€125,000 GPA

An exceptionally exciting opportunity for a highly capable and multifaceted House Manager & Property Projects professional to take ownership of a sophisticated private family office's Milan operations.
This is a varied and autonomous role requiring someone who can seamlessly move between household management, property operations, other potential restaurant/hospitality projects, staff, suppliers and F&B, with the judgement and initiative to make decisions and get things done independently.
The role has reporting lines within the family office, including to the Head of Properties & Systems, but there will also be significant direct communication with the principals. The successful candidate will become the key operational lead in Milan, significantly reducing the day-to-day involvement of the Chief of Staff and Head of Properties & Systems.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking full ownership of local property operations, including maintenance, inspections, repairs, contractors and suppliers.

  • Ensuring properties are fully prepared for principals, guests, arrivals and departures, with clear handovers and high service standards.

  • Managing and coordinating the local household team, including butlers, housekeepers and additional support.

  • Overseeing Milan and travelling F&B operations, including chefs, kitchen readiness, suppliers and meal logistics.

  • Delivering property projects including fit-outs, moves, storage, upgrades and new spaces, managing scope, budgets and deadlines.

  • Coordinating the practical property requirements of the developing gallery and office space, including furniture, deliveries and storage.

  • Implementing and maintaining effective checklists, inventories and procedures, ensuring they are followed in practice.

  • Building strong relationships with local contractors, suppliers and service providers and ensuring work is completed to the required standard.

  • Taking responsibility for additional projects as the Milan operation develops.

Languages: Fluent Italian and English essential
Salary: €100,000–€125,000 GPA, depending on experience
Availability: ASAP, but will wait a notice period for the ideal candidate
