Head Housekeeper, Windsor Park, Surrey. Salary On Application

Our clients are seeking an experienced Head Housekeeper for a beautiful countryside estate near Windsor Park.

The estate comprises a main house and several outbuildings and is predominantly used during the summer months. Even when the family is away, the property is maintained to true 6* standards—immaculately clean, organised, and always guest-ready.

This is a hands-on leadership role, overseeing the core housekeeping team and managing the wider household entourage when the clients are in residence. You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards across the estate, leading by example, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the housekeeping department.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team in a similar private household or luxury hotel environment. You will be confident, organised, proactive, and a natural self-starter with excellent communication skills.

Duties

  • Manage the housekeeping staff: recruiting, training, creating staff rotas, and allocating tasks

  • Carry out hands-on daily housekeeping alongside the team

  • Order supplies as needed and ensure all equipment is in good working order

  • Oversee inventory of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and equipment

  • Conduct staff appraisals and address any performance or conduct issues

  • Communicate effectively with staff, principals, and other departments, reporting to the Estate Manager

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Maintain a positive, professional, and calm approach at all times

  • Assist with other household tasks as required

Requirements

  • Experience working in UHNW households or luxury hotels

  • Proven experience managing, training, and motivating a team

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Experience caring for fine materials, clothing, and luxury items

  • Professional, confident leader who can set the tone for the team

  • Discreet and trustworthy, with a professional attitude at all times

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to six-star standards

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently

  • Flexible to work longer hours and extra days when the clients are in residence

  • Driving licence (advantageous)

Working days: 5 days on, 2 days off. The schedule is typically Monday to Friday when the principals are away. Flexibility and overtime are required during client visits, with overtime given back as time in lieu.

Hours: 8am – 4pm

Start: ASAP, or candidates with up to 1 month notice will be considered
