Kitchen Porter – Private Household in Central London (£45K gpa)

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (45 hours per week contract)
A fully staffed private household in Central London is seeking a reliable and proactive Kitchen Porter to join the team. This role requires someone hands-on, hardworking, and flexible, with the ability to support the wider household team beyond the kitchen when needed (e.g., handling deliveries, assisting housekeeping).

Key Responsibilities

– Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, pantry, and back-of-house areas
– Wash dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment to a high standard
– Support chefs with basic food preparation and mise-en-place
– Monitor stock of cleaning materials and report when supplies are low
– Handle deliveries, unpack and store goods correctly
– Assist with rubbish and recycling management
– Provide occasional support to other household staff (errands, moving furniture, light maintenance tasks)
– Follow household protocols, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and discretion

Candidate Requirements:
– Previous experience in a kitchen porter, stewarding, or housekeeping role preferred (private household experience an advantage)
– Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
– Flexible, with willingness to support across different areas of the household
– Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a fully staffed team
– Reliable, punctual, and discreet
Hours & Compensation
– 45 hours per week, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday
– Salary: £45K gpa
