Housekeeper/Laundress, Chelsea, £50k gpa ++

We are on the hunt for an experienced Housekeeper/Laundress to join a professional team of 5 housekeepers within a high spec, fully staffed private household in London, with occasional travel to Switzerland and Sardinia.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering consistently high standards, particularly in wardrobe care and laundry within a well-run team.

Responsibilities:

General housekeeping including cleaning, tidying, and room preparation

Specialist laundry and wardrobe care, including delicate fabrics and luxury garments

Packing and unpacking for travel

Supporting with household organisation and seasonal changeovers

Assisting with front of house service eg. family style meals

Occasional travel support alongside the team

Requirements:

Experience in a similar role within a private household

Strong skills in laundry, wardrobe management, and garment care

Team player, discreet, with a proactive and polished approach

Willing to travel for short periods as part of a trusted team

Able to work Saturdays on a rotational basis

Hours/Days:

Hours: 45 hours per week, on a rota basis

Shifts: 8am–5pm, 9am–6pm, or 12pm–9pm

Weekend Schedule: 2 Saturdays on (Saturdays only), 2 Saturdays off

Travel: 2–4 weeks per year to Switzerland and Sardinia with the household
