Live in Housekeeper/Cook, Hampshire - Circa £45k GPA

We’re looking for a capable and discreet live in Housekeeper/Cook for a beautiful farmhouse in Hampshire. This is a long-term position supporting an independent and friendly mature principal in a low-key, relaxed family setting. This role would suit an experienced all-rounder with a kind, caring nature who enjoys a varied and balanced role.

The property is set in stunning countryside, with Basingstoke as the nearest town. There is a full time live out housekeeper who has been with the family for many years and will assist with daily cleaning, laundry, and general household support.

The family have an excellent reputation and genuinely value their staff. It’s a warm, welcoming environment with a great family culture.

Main Duties

• Assist with daily housekeeping and laundry alongside the existing housekeeper

• Prepare fresh, nutritious, home-style meals

• Run errands, assist with appointments, and drive if needed (driver a bonus)

• Oversee household tasks and meet tradespeople when required

• Provide light care, friendly companionship and daily support

• Occasionally travel with the principal when required

Requirements

• Driver essential due to location

• Experience in similar high end private household or hotel setting

• Confident preparing simple family style meals

• Care experience would be a big plus

• Non smoker

Accommodation

Lovely annex with two bedrooms, open-plan kitchen/living area and bathroom.

Days/Hours
40 hours per week across 5 days, 2 weekends per month

8am – 6pm, with a long break during the day between 2pm – 4pm

Salary: £45k gpa with accommodation. Additional benefits ie. generous pension contribution
