Housekeeper / Carer, Chelsea, Salary on Application

We are seeking a kind, reliable, and compassionate housekeeper/carer to support an elderly lady living with early stage dementia in her three-bedroom apartment in Chelsea.

The role combines light housekeeping with personal care and companionship, helping to provide comfort and stability as her needs evolve.

The principal is currently independent and active, though the level of care required will gradually increase. Initially, the role will be part-time, Monday to Friday, with hours increasing over time. As the client’s care needs develop, the position is expected to transition into a live-in role.

Key Responsibilities

• Light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and general tidying

• Preparing simple meals and heating ready-made dishes

• Providing companionship and emotional support

• Assisting with daily routines to ensure the principal’s comfort and wellbeing

• Monitoring and responding to changes in care needs over time

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role; experience with dementia care is an advantage

• Warm, patient, and attentive nature with a genuine aptitude for care

• Good communication skills and reliability

• Comfortable working in a household where the principal smokes indoors

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (initially part-time hours, increasing over time)
