Laundress, Victoria - £50k - £55k gpa

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laundress on behalf of our client, a couple, to work at their beautiful property located close to Victoria Station. The role primarily involves managing daily laundry tasks, including washing, ironing, and pressing fabrics, as well as wardrobe management within an informal household environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a keen eye for detail, possess vast knowledge of fabrics, and be capable of handling delicate materials with care. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly, close-knit team with high standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily laundry tasks, including washing, drying, pressing, and folding.

Manage wardrobe organisation and ensure garments are properly cared for and stored away.

Iron clothing to a high standard, paying close attention to detail.

Handle delicate materials with care and precision.

Assist with housekeeping tasks across the household as needed during busy periods.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role.

A good eye for detail and a strong understanding of fabric care.

Ability to press clothing to a high standard.

Flexibility to work 1x weekend per month as needed.

Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively independently and in a team.

Willingness to assist with various household tasks when required.

Days of work: Primarily Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work 1x weekend per month on a carefully planned rota (Saturday and Sunday).

Hours: 45 hours per week, 9am – 6pm

Salary: £50k - £55k gpa

Start: ASAP or up to a 1 month notice period
